Kishmish is a soulful Afghan concept serving authentic comfort food of Afghanistan in its Al Wasl and Mirdif locations in Dubai. Kishmish, meaning raisin in Dari, is the brainchild of Iman Nazemi, an Afghan restaurateur whose love for her land had led her to embark on a journey of sharing Afghan culture through home cooked food.
Every dish on the menu tells a story of Afghanistan, with all-time favourites including the Ashak (leek-filled ravioli), Mantu (Afghan dumplings), Dopiyaza (slow cooked lamb) served on a bed of lavash bread, juicy skewers straight from the charcoal, Kabuli Palou, and homemade Afghan Sheryakh ice cream. The interior decor, featuring pillars decked out in Afghan carpets, custom furniture in tribal patterns and traditional Afghan clothing framed on walls, transports the guests to the land of Afghanistan. The warm ambience and friendly staff welcome the guests like family, making Kishmish a home away from home for everyone.
